I really appreciate our dear Teresa because not only she gives us a chance to show ourselves on the stage but also let us understand how to prepare well before you present. That is a positive attitude not only for our further presentation but also for our life.
Frankly speaking, this is a hardworking course that I have never taken. But I will try my best to pass the course.
Before the presentation, I was shocked by the serious attitude of our dear teacher, so I tried very hard to follow her step. I read the article which I wanted to present three weeks ago and then had prepared the power point for several days. After that, I asked teacher for help and teacher pointed out what I had to show on my personal presentation. Finally, I got the key point after three times negotiations. I think that was a great experience for my further dissertation report to do a whole presentation like this.
However, I have to say that I am so depressed after the presentation. Even if I had prepared for a long time before the presentation, I still made several mistakes. First, I didn’t set the microphone well. That must be a BIG mistake before a formal presentation. Second, I didn’t practice my pronunciation perfectly and I think my poor pronunciation will let the audience feel the presentation is informal. Third, I used some words which are not clear, formal, and professional on the PPT. The worst of all, I made a severe grammar mistake on the PPT. That was so terrible that I was shy to face my classmates.
Although I didn’t do very well in this presentation, I have to say that I have tried my best and I was proud of myself. However, there is a long distance that I have to go in the future life

Question.
In slide 13, it says that most students think traditional activities were still effective to facilitate their English learning. I doubt this. It seems that CLT needs outside classroom activities to help their communicative skills. It is a different view. What is your opinion on this?

Mark

weakness
Waiting to see the internet sources.
Question
In slide 3, it states that the corpus is for academic writing, but in slide 4, the definition on corpus is “…collection of written or spoken texts…” because the topic is for ACDEMIC use, do you think the spoken texts also academic? It is kind of conflict here...
Jeffrey
strength
Very interesting topic
Well-organized presentation
Handsome dress
Good animation
Good website
weakness
Can I say “No”? I was surprised at your performance this time. Good job.
Question
You mentioned that you will set up your own website to do the research and you want to do the questionnaire through your website; therefore, you need a large number of participants. But, are you really sure that you can find over 300 participants? How about if you do not have enough participants? And, it is really hard to make an in-deep interview through website. For me, it is quiet dangerous. So, what is your opinion?

At first I was very nervous about this presentation; most of the reason is I didn’t know how to organize a PPT. And thanks to teacher Teresa, she really helped me a lot.
PPT is very important in a presentation, because a well-organized PPT can catch the audience’s attentions and can let the speaker speaks more frequently. And the color of the PPT is very important too, because if the color is the dark the audience can not read the PPT clear, and also the APA format is important, this time I used Arabic numeral instead of Roman number, it should used Roman number will be better, I’ll remember to use Roman number next time. And there were some grammar mistakes in my PPT, I should really work on my grammar. Some classmates mentioned that I was speaking a little bit to fast during the speech. Next time I will try to speak slower.
I am not good at reading, so I spent a lot of time on reading this article. It is difficult for me to really understand an article and find out the key point. I think I should really practice my reading skill by the reading journals. And I should really try to find my own study field, and start to read some journal which is related with my topic. Next time I’ll start to prepare the presentation earlier and discuss the topic with the teacher first.
