課程大綱 | The course is designed to improve students' general listening comprehension and oral skills through a variety of strategies. Students will be asked to make predictions, draw inferences, outline, take notes, and listen for phonological clues that signal important information. Students will apply these strategies to a great variety of English tasks and discussions. |

課程大綱 | This course is for graduate students who want to develop a better understanding of writing research papers and to improve their personal writing skills. It emphasizes content and structure of journal articles. It also addresses issues of style and readability in research writing. Classes involve lectures, discussions, and many in-class exercises, from title to literature citation, and the ways in which papers are written, from first draft to published paper. You will write regularly, for practice and review. Performance standards and expectations will be very high. Office hours are liberal to promote work on individual writing problems. |

StudentThe course is desigs will learn these skills step by step from their own experiences, by observing the presentations of peers, through peer criticism, and from the guidance of the instructor. The instructor will provide a caring environment for the learning process through a conversational style that aims to both interest and motivate students. |
